Wendy Burch
Wendy Burch is an Emmy-winning journalist, acclaimed professional writer, and inspiring motivational speaker.
With a career in journalism spanning more than two decades, Burch has interviewed some of the biggest news-makers of the day. She’s delivered thousands of live television news reports: everything from breaking news—to high profile court cases—to star-studded red carpet events.
Her talents have taken her to top television markets across the country, and viewers in Los Angeles can currently see her as the lead reporter for the award-winning KTLA Morning News. Burch is also a frequent contributor to The Huffington Post.
Wendy has received numerous awards and honors, including 5 Emmy Awards. She has also the recipient of the Gracie Allen Award and the Genii Award from the American Women of Radio & Television.
Burch is an outspoken advocate for women struggling with fertility issues. She publically chronicled her own journey to get pregnant after the age of 40 and candidly discussed her decision to use a donor egg to ensure a successful pregnancy at the age of 45. Burch’s voice has been instrumental in encouraging other women to seek out fertility treatments, including advocating for younger women to freeze their eggs.
Burch also founded The Good News Foundation, a non-profit organization that recognized and rewarded remarkable individuals and organizations making ‘good news’ in Greater Los Angeles. Under Wendy’s direction and vision, The Good News Foundation grew into one of Los Angeles’ premier charities. She spearheaded the philanthropic efforts from 2006 to 2014 and, during that time, The Good News Foundation awarded more than 1.5 million dollars in grants, gift and in-kind donations.
Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Burch is a graduate of Brigham Young University, with a degree in Broadcast Communications. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
